This pilot plant enables studies to be conducted on the optimization of a gas mixture into a target compound for subsequent recovery. It consists of a reactor containing a catalyst bed through which the model gas—reconstituted from various components typically found in synthesis gas produced by biomass gasification—is passed. It allows for work to be conducted under controlled temperature and pressure conditions and enables analysis of the gas mixture composition both upstream and downstream of the catalytic bed.
